Celebrating 8 years of Statice with the top 8 lessons I’ve learned.

In honor of Statice's eighth birthday, I'm sharing eight important lessons I've learned over the years.

  1. When you ask people to think of a great leader and why they chose that person, they typically list traits related to EQ or emotional intelligence.

  2. There’s something magical when you ask a question or seek to understand rather than assume. My go-to phrase is “Help me understand  . . .”.

  3. The remedy for fear is action. Ask yourself, if I removed the fear, what’s possible? What’s one small step I can take to move forward?

  4. Delegating successfully requires figuring out what tasks you will delegate and what tasks and roles you won’t delegate.

  5. If you don’t invest in yourself, who will? Set aside the time and invest in your professional growth.

  6. When you say, "I have no choice, I’m stuck here" think about it. Choosing to stay (in a relationship, in a job) is a choice.

  7. You need to quit the stuff that doesn’t help you be your best.

  8. The most frequent answer I get when I ask “what will get in the way of your goal” is “Just me.”.  You have the power to get out of your own way.

It's been a great eight years helping people grow in their professional and personal lives. I can't wait to see what the future holds for Statice!
